Neighbourhoods with a metro station
- Huzur: Sanayi Mahallesi and Seyrantepe M2 stations are on the edge of the neighbourhood (Seyrantepe branch; change at Sanayi).
- Ferahevler: Hacıosman M2 station is right on the edge of the neighbourhood: a few minutes from the streets facing the metro, about 25 minutes (2 km) on foot from the centre of Ferahevler — an easy walk.
- Çamlıtepe: Hacıosman (the terminus) and Darüşşafaka M2 stations are on the edge of the neighbourhood.
- Cumhuriyet: One exit of Hacıosman M2 station opens directly onto the Cumhuriyet side.
- Darüşşafaka: Darüşşafaka M2 station is on the edge of the neighbourhood; exits 3 and 4 open into it.
- Maslak: Atatürk Oto Sanayi M2 station is in the neighbourhood, and the “Plazalar” exit of İTÜ-Ayazağa station is on the Maslak side.
- Reşitpaşa: İTÜ-Ayazağa M2 station is in the neighbourhood (İTÜ and Büyükdere Caddesi exits).
- Rumelihisarı: Boğaziçi Üniversitesi/Hisarüstü station on the M6 is right at the edge of the neighbourhood; change to the M2 at Levent.

To the airports
Istanbul Airport — no change: bus H-8. Leaves Hacıosman Metro every day at 06:00, 10:00, 14:00 and 18:15 and reaches the airport in about 2 hours by the timetable. Return from the airport every day at 08:15, 12:00, 16:15 and 20:30. A comfortable option if you would rather not change with luggage.
Istanbul Airport — faster: M2 + M11. Take the M2 to Gayrettepe and change to the M11 airport metro; about 1 hour 15 minutes in total.
Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Take the M2 to Yenikapı, Marmaray to Ayrılık Çeşmesi, then the M4 to the airport; about 2 hours in total with two changes. There is no direct bus from Sarıyer.

Bosphorus ferries
Sarıyer – Rumelikavağı – Anadolu Kavağı (daily). From Sarıyer: 07:15, 08:00, 09:00, 10:35, 13:30, 14:00, 15:20, 15:40, 17:00, 17:45, 18:45, 19:45, 20:35, 21:55, 23:00. Sarıyer – Beykoz (daily). İstinye – Çubuklu car ferry (Beykoz). The bridge-free way to take a car to the Asian side. The service was suspended on 31 July 2025; the Istanbul Municipal Council decided in September 2026 to reopen it, and sailings are expected to resume in October 2026. We will add the timetable here once it restarts; until then, follow Şehir Hatları announcements.
İstinye / Emirgan – Kanlıca – Anadolu Hisarı – Bebek – Çengelköy (weekdays and Saturdays). From İstinye: 08:20, 10:20, 13:25, 17:45. From Emirgan: 16:15, 17:50, 19:45 *. * not on Saturdays.

Into the city by metro
- Levent about 14 min, Taksim about 24 min, Yenikapı 32 min.
- At peak times trains run roughly every 4 minutes; the metro runs 06:00–00:00.
- Weekend night metro: the M2 runs non-stop from Friday morning to Sunday midnight.
- Maslak (İTÜ-Ayazağa) is 3 stops; Darüşşafaka is 1 stop.

Walking distances
- Hacıosman station sits where Çamlıtepe, Ferahevler, Cumhuriyet and Tarabya meet; from the streets of these neighbourhoods that face the metro it is a few minutes’ walk.
- On foot to the neighbourhood centres: Çamlıtepe about 1 km (12 min), Cumhuriyet 1.2 km (15 min), Ferahevler 2 km (25 min), Tarabya 2.2 km (28 min). All are an easy walk; you do not need a car or bus to reach the metro.
- The walk down to the Bosphorus is easy; the way back is uphill.
